According to Carol Capas, spokeswoman for the CCSO, on Thursday March 7, Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a residential burglary which had occurred sometime between March 6 and March 7, in the 200 block of West Pirtle Avenue west of Douglas.

Capas said the resident told deputies that unknown subjects used a pry bar to force entry into the home through the front wrought iron door and front wooden door. They also said that several items were taken to include multiple firearms (handguns and shotguns) as well as electronics and jewelry.

With the assistance of the Douglas Police Department, Sheriff’s Deputies were able to identify possible suspects in this burglary and locate an address where the property may be stored.

On Friday morning Sheriff’s Deputies obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 600 block of east Sixth Street and Friday afternoon executed the search warrant.

As a result of the search warrant Capas announced Monday the arrest of three Douglas men all 18 years of age.

Kristopher Lopez was charged with theft, five counts of misconduct with a weapon and trafficking in stolen property. He is currently being held without bond.

Juan Carlos Enriquez was charged with theft and nine counts of trafficking in stolen property. He posted a $10,000 bond and was released March 9.

Jesus Hernandez was charged with three counts of possession of dangerous drugs, burglary and three counts of introducing contraband into a detention facility.

Capas said Hernandez’ bond is set at $10,000 for the burglary charge and $10,000 for the contraband charge.

Capas added the investigation in being continued by the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

" The grammatical and spelling errors everyone is typing is horrible, get it together Douglas! As for the three that were arrested: lock them up! They don't care about us, all they care about is money, and earning it the wrong way. If they don't care about us....why should we care about them? Screw bail, and their dirty money! "
