Elfrida FFA Success in Safford

Submitted Article

On February 6, 2013, over 300 FFA members from the Gila Southern District, including Cochise, Graham and Greenlee county schools, traveled to Safford to participate in their District Career Development Event Contests.

The knowledge and skills used in their competitions are learned directly through their high school Career and Technical Education programs, and specifically their agriculture education classes. The students have been practicing before school, at lunch and after school since November for their events.

The competitions are designed to challenge agriculture students in the area and afford them the opportunity to compete at the Arizona FFA Field Day held at the University of Arizona in March.
