The Double Adobe Country Quilters will be celebrating their 33rd Annual Quilt Show this Saturday at the Double Adobe School.

Price was looking forward to her 33rd Double Adobe quilt show. She had received a new 2013 calendar and had already written Double Adobe Quilt show on Saturday March 2nd according to her son, Stanley Price. She was working on a strip quilt right to the very end, which will be displayed at the Quilt Show.
In spite of Mary’s illnesses, aches, and pains she never complained. She was polite and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She always had something to laugh about and a story to tell. She was a country girl with class.
Several years ago Price was teaching the Double Adobe Quilters how to piece a Poinsettia block. She laughed as she told the quilters they had to glue the cut out fabric pieces onto the block. This is something unheard of in today’s quilting world. (This method was used before “ Heat n Bond ” .)
If you attend the Free Quilt show on Saturday March 2, be sure to notice the drapes on the Double Adobe School stage. These pleated drapes were made by Mary. She believed in giving back to the community. Mary will be deeply missed by the Double Adobe Quilters.
The show will be at the Double Adobe School on Saturday March 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A drawing will be held for a Sunflower Quilt.
Children are welcome and admission is free.
The local 4-H club will be serving lunch.
