Sheriff’s Office warns of ‘Ransom Scam’

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is investigating three cases that were reported in the past two weeks of a “Ransom Scam”. This scam has been in existence for some time and has recently resurfaced in more metropolitan areas. This scam incorporates a malware virus into your computer and creates significant issues for the victim.
