Juanita Castillo was born April 14, 1930 and passed away on January 1, 2013 after battling a long illness. She was born in Douglas and passed away in San Marcos, California.

Before marriage she worked at Guitan’s Grocery store for many years. After marriage she worked in various positions in Douglas with Billy the Kid and Wood’s Shirt Factory as a shirt cutter machinist. She worked until the factors closed.
She was a devout home maker the remainder of her life.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Cecilia Castillo. She leaves behind her husband of 64 years of marriage, Guillermo Castillo, daughters Guillermina Sumpter (San Marcos, CA), and Eloisa Jerez (Rio Rico, AZ) and a son Guillermo H Castillo of Douglas, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mass will be held on January 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception, services by Father Gilbert Malu. Per Juanita’s request her ashes will be interned at the Calvary Cemetery following mass.
