Florencio “Jacobo” Jacobo-Carrillo of Douglas passed away on January 11, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Tucson.



Jacobo was born on May 6, 1930 to Flavia Carrillo and Carlos Jacobo in Pilares, Sonora, Mexico. Jacobo is preceded in death by his son Renato and his mother and father. Surviving him is his loving wife Maria Alicia Duarte-Jacobo of 59 years of marriage. Surviving are sons Carlos, Florencio, Arturo, Luis, Gustavo, Fernando and Rogelio and daughters Guadalupe, Martha and Patricia. He leaves behind brothers Carlos, Armin and sisters Dora and Minerva. He leaves behind 39 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Jacobo was a well known handy man in the Douglas and surrounding communities. Jacobo was a family man who loved family gatherings, making everyone laugh and telling his jokes.

Rosary will be Tuesday, January 15, 2013-7:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by the Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 12:00 pm also at Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Lobo. Pallbearers will be Carlos, Florencio, Arturo, Luis, Fernando and Rogelio Jacobo. Follwing his services Jacobo will be cremated. Care entrusted to Alex Espinosa Bisbee Funeral Home, 1094-HWY 92, Bisbee, AZ 85603, 432-4242. Funeral Director Alex Espinosa.

    " I want to say my condolences to the family expecially Alicia he is in a better place and I will keep your family in my prayers. He was very dear to my father Manuel Yanez and my brothers and sisters in Douglas. I will come visit you once I am in Douglas sorry I cannot make the services. "
