Bertha S. Bagby, 91, a long-time resident of Douglas, Arizona passed away on December 17, 2012 in Goodyear, Arizona.



She was born in Calexico, Mexico on June 8, 1921 the daughter of Alberto Salcido and Maria Rinaldo Salcido.  She is survived by her husband of 66 years William H. Bagby.  She is survived by two children, son William L. Bagby (Betty) and daughter Irene Stover (Mike), six grandchildren Mike Stover (Yvonne), Jennifer Treguboff (Bryan), Brittany Bagby (Arlo), Blake Bagby, Jeff Hobbs, and Channa Hobbs and ten great-grandchildren Logan Treguboff, Caden Treguboff, Zane Treguboff, Zoe Stover, Camron Rogers, Brandon Rogers, Kitana Rogers, Tristan Lemke, Skylar Propeck and Blaaz Hobbs.  She is also survived by her older sister, Olga Trevino.  She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Our mother always had a positive and caring attitude towards everyone.  She was educated in Mexico and continued to take classes at Cochise College.  Education was always very important to our mother.  She worked as a stenographer in Agua Prieta, Mexico and as a bookkeeper in Cananea, Mexico.  She will be missed greatly by everyone.  Rest in peace mom. 

Rosary will precede the funeral mass at 10:15 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Saturday, December 22 in Douglas, Arizona.  Funeral mass will follow the rosary at 10:45 a.m.

    " Bagby family: my sincere condolences are with you. My brother, Bill, often brought your name up when we talked on the phone. I'm sure you will miss her!

    Regretfully, our family is scattered in Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, Tennessee, Georgia, Maryland, and Texas. May God and our Lord Jesus give you comfort!! "
