December events at the Douglas Art Gallery

The Douglas Art Gallery, located at 625 10th Street, will be holding a holiday craft bazaar on Dec. 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.


There will be Christmas decorations for sale both new and pre-owned at great prices. There will also be gifts that children may purchase from $1- $5.

The Gallery promises to have crafts of all types.

The Douglas Art Gallery will display the work of Ian Carbajal, a ceramics instructor at Cochise College.

Carbajal will display his work Dec. 2 – 29, with a reception on Dec. 8 from 4 – 8 p.m.

The show will feature how ceramic pieces can be embellished or enhanced with other materials, such as a wooden or metal handles, glass stoppers, or resin knobs.

Objects with varying textures such as feathers, recycled pieces of wood, metal, or glass, can be joined with the ceramic piece after firing with modern bonding methods.

The Douglas Art Gallery is open from Tuesday-Saturday, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. For more information about the Gallery or the upcoming events call (520) 364-6410.
