Fire victims asking for help from the community

Dear Editor


Approximately four months ago in the City of Douglas there was a fire. According to Douglas Fire Department it was arson, in which a Christian Church and a barber shop located on 9 Street between F and G Ave were completely destroyed.

The detective in charge of the investigation found strong evidence that the criminals left behind. Both the church as well as the salon were not insured at the time of the incident resulting in total loss of properties, causing the salon to start over from zero.

The detective in charge and the police department have not done anything else on the investigation. We have tried calling and have left various messages and they do not respond.

We are asking for help from the community to help us bring justice to this incident and to have the criminals involved punished accordingly.

    " It is very obvious that Ms membrila made alot of people in the community angry and it is understandable I mean she really put her foot in her mouth when she blamed the Douglas police dept and fire dept. Now she must accept her consequences of her words and move on just like life she must continue. No one is bullying her she simply got the attention she wanted. The Police dept and fire dept is here to protect and serve us and the least they deserve is a little respect. "

God is the one who gives us our punishment slowly but surely. Yes it is nice that some people have comented attempting to defend her but the truth is that this is the result of the trash talk that Ms. Membrila started with her inaccurate accusations. It is obvious that these accusations have harmed alot of innocent people. I have been her customer for some time now and followed her to her new shop. People don't know that she had to borrow money and also got help from friends that really appreciate her to be able to open her shop. There are a lot of people that envy her and like these comments say that this accident was something personal, I don't think she would be sooo dumb to burn her own shop and start all over again. AND for your info, she never took a cruise. She went to Florida with an invitation from someone else which she had already planned months before, which she didn't have to pay for nothing! Question...before putting out the fire how is it possible to say what started it to begin with? Question2: If in fact it was arson where is the evidence? And if it is such strong evidence...     " Sorry to say but it seems like this girl just wants attention, I remember when we were both employed at Illusions Barber Shop she was always trying to blame others for her mistakes rather than admitting that she is the one always stirring things up and causing drama. And the strange part is that her old shop burns, doesnt have insurance, she opens up a new shop like nothing, and i remember she posted on facebook right after the fire that she was taking a cruise to the carribean.
