Young people have a voice
Sitting through the candidate’s forum on Oct. 2, I noticed a large group of people missing. It appears that today’s younger generation was not present.

Aftershock lasts forever
Last week Douglas lost one of its community members in a heartbreaking death. A teenage boy committed suicide. Many speculations have been made on why he did it. The true reason may never be known.

The administrators, teachers and staff of the Douglas Unified School District are committed to providing the best education possible to our students. The way we deliver instruction to our students has changed over the past several years due to federal and state mandates. As a result, our teachers have had to learn new techniques in working with the students.
