After eight days of intense searching, a Douglas man wanted in connection with a murder was captured on Oct. 24 a little after 5:30 p.m.

Israel Romo Ysea, aka Tata Ysea, was arrested at 702 14th Street, for the slaying of Guillermo Cruz on Oct. 17.

According to Douglas Police Departments Public Information Officer Mark Wilkinson, Ysea was located after extensive follow-ups on numerous anonymous tips from concerned citizens.

In a collaborative effort between DPD, GIITEM, and the U.S. Marshals, Ysea was located and arrested without incident.

He is being charged with first degree murder and burglary. There was also an outstanding warrant on him for violation of his conditions of release on a previous case involving drug trafficking.

Ysea is currently being held at the Cochise County Jail awaiting his initial appearance today.

" I'm glad to hear you are praying for the family of his victim. That is very good for us all to do.

To L11: yes he is innocent until proven guilty, but he will be proven guilty, he murdered this man and then ran from the police. Now I'm taking a wild guess here but usually the good things one has done gets overshadowed when you kill someone on purpose with no remorse.I can't wait til the day he gets tried and sentenced. "

    " To Chimichinga:

By what you are saying it seems to me like you are perfect and yes our prayer group has prayed for the family of the person murdered just in case you need to know. I never thought someone had the power to judge someone but congrats for that. As for Tata we will continue praying for him. "

" FYI people are good individuals and who have good hearts don't murder others then try to evade arrest. From what understand this man had been bad his whole life. To all those defending him, we will see if your feelings remain the same if someone kills your lived one. I highly doubt it. I've had family members murdered and believe me the last thing you want to do is defend the person who did it.

To RELIGIOUS: it's funny, you mention PRAYING for TATA, and for those who bad mouth him, but yet you don't pray for the man he murdered or for his family?

The good thing is that he was caught. Hopefully he will be put away for life.

It makes me sick to hear so many defending him. Gotta love all you bleeding hearts. If these types of people had their way all criminals would be released and free to do as they wish without consequences. "

    Thank You.
