The Douglas Bulldogs annual homecoming game that was originally scheduled for Thursday Oct. 4 against the Catalina Trojans has been pushed back a day to Friday, Oct. 5, DUSD Athletic Director Stephanie Phillips announced last week.

The annual D-Day parade will still take place at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 up G Ave. The traditional bon-fire ceremony that followed the parade however has been cancelled.

" Slowly all the new people coming in to our school district are doing away with all of our DHS traditions. Why do they feel they have to change everything? They want our kids to do this, excel in this, pass this, don't do this, don't do that, but there is going to be nothing for our kids to do soon. No D-week, no bonfire, NOTHING!! There is no tradition left !! "
