Douglas Police Officers seized roughly 91.45 pounds of marijuana on Saturday, August 26 with an estimated street value of more than $45,000.
“Officers normally conduct checks of abandoned houses, we tend to find broken windows, doors and other property and sometimes they find illegal immigrants or illegal drugs,” Duarte said.
Authorities secured the residence and seized the contraband.
No one has been arrested at this time.
According to Duarte, DPD Detectives are continuing their investigation in an attempt to locate the person involved in this narcotic trafficking.
The Douglas Police Department would like to encourage citizens to call (520) 417-7550, if they see any suspicious activities around their neighborhoods, callers will remain anonymous.
