" To Jorge and GREAT POST, first of all congratulations for your outstanding comments toward that "CO", and please don't worry "CO" if you don't report the corrupt CO's, we will get them. YOU CAN BE LUCKY 100 times in crossing dope, but WE just need to be lucky ONCE. By the way "CO" if you decide to call us, we have 5 listed phone lines and 3 unlisted. A US Customs Inspector. "

" The only way we will get these guys (corrupt officers/agents) out of our ranks is to speak up! We need to call IA and other investigative entities to check up on these guys and gals. The more you make thwm feel they are being watched, the more they are likely to not do stupid things. On the plus side everyone... three plus officers from DOC these last weeks, an officer (so far) from customs, an officer from the county jail, a few BP agents, and a very recent ICE employee to name a few... is a great start to cleaning house! I hope more get busted, i know it hurts our pride and image, but them getting busted shows something is being done about these scum. "

" Jorge, I congratulate on your post. It seems that you are one of the few that actually get it. Douglas has long been known for its corruption problem; i think we as officers and agents in this community need to get more involved and tell these dopers that we don't want them here anymore. If we had a decent law enforcement presence that cared it would be better, but I see Special Agent's and Douglas Police laughing with dopers and their families that why i have been talking to my representatives to try to get something done about corruption and the dopers that are killing my community. "

Move into the US and start paying TAXES, like city, county, state and fed, but if you decide to stay in Mexico, work for the AP jail. JJ did a stupid move and he will always be reminded by his peers and friends. "

" TO CO: It is quite obvious that you have missed the point that “reality man” was making. You are obsessed with the idea that not everyone is corrupt. You go so far as to criticize his spelling. That has nothing to do with his argument. Don’t change the subject, address the issue! Your pride is getting in your way . He is trying to tell you that it is your responsibility to root out the corruption and if you are not actively doing that then you are just as guilty as the person doing the act. Since you are a corrections officer , I have one question for you. What are you personally doing to stop the corruption in your facility and your community? That question is not to be answered to me in this forum. It is to be answered by you to yourself. All too often in Douglas people look the other way because of a false sense of loyalty to friends and family and not to right and wrong. I hope you and your co-workers put your pride aside and do some seriously self-policing and don’t become offended when other people give you their opinion. You are officers who are supposed to be thick skinned. Good luck in cleaning up the mess in Douglas. I can't help you because I no longer live in the area. "

" To REALITY MAN, you guessed correctly, I am a correctional officer with integrity and serve my department with pride. Due to the nature of this conversation, I am not authorized to divulge my name and speak for my department. It appears that you retracted your first comments about 'everyone in Douglas and AP being corrupt with your second statement, so thank you. You want to talk about self respect and pride, don't forget that within the department we also have educated people, war veterans and people still serving their country overseas. To put an end to this conversation, I have a quick suggestion for you. Instead of spending your time in writing negative comments and offending people, you should invest some time in learning how to properly spell simple words like 'INVALID,CHOICES,EMBARRASSED,PEOPLE,INTEGRITY and OSTRACIZE' instead of whatever you spelled! "

I'm willing to bet MS.confused you have had a relative in the same situation. Was it your fault to? Everyone in Douglas,AZ knows someone who has been caught. Thats not the problem the problem is we need to stop the people who are doing it. "

You make a wrong choice, or choices and hope that you can make it through the fire when its over. What's wrong is wrong, and we need to pay for our mistakes, we cant deny it. Ive been there, in one form or another, so im not going to pass judgement. I only hope that JJ and his friend change so that they merit a second chance it the future. "

Those CO's who know others that are corrupt should report them right away. But the don't because the bad one's are their "friends". So they keep their heads in the sand. To me they are corrupt as well for not doing anything. And yes JJ Rose is the son of the Assistant Port Director here in Douglas. "

Positive peer preasure will go along way is stopping the culture of corruption in Douglas. Also I have had some family members and some inlaws who walk on the dark side of the street. They have been osterized from our family because of their actions and choises. You sound like a corrections officer, yes I know there are some honest ones. You are embarrasted because of your co-workers actions. Well if you have any pride and self respect you and the other honest officers will take a strong stance against your fellow officers. "

Many other just don't care, they are too busy living in their own self-centerd world. There are only a few who care and want this to stop. It's to bad that you who care are a very small minority and will be laughed at and out shouted by the loosers of Douglas. "
